    Hey Lloyd,

You know, I can't help thinking that you're making your life a little difficult here, for not only do you have to make a glove animate credibly, expressively - and pompously - you're also giving yourself a hat to animate - and if you do that, it won't be enough to simply draw a hat and have it shuffling around, it too will need to be a credibly animated character. I like the idea of the glove being a Musketeer-style one, and the idea of the ring signifying its puffed up status is good, but wouldn't it make more sense to have the other glove being the rival for the ring, and there not being any hat? It would seem logical to me at least, that if there was a glove that was always used to having the bling, the other one would be heartily sick of its grand manner - and maybe want the bling for itself. I'm not absolutely convinced you've got your head around the meaning of 'pompous' quite yet - for while it does mean grand and self-regarding, it also denotes a certain kind of royal, regal bearing - a self-importance that comes from high status. I think you're onto something with the glove being part of some princely costume, but do you really need the hat, and, if so - how are you going to anthropomorphize it?

Your intro to your written assignment is so provisional, Lloyd, it's hardly worth me commenting - because the bulk of my comments would simply be - please write your introduction as you've been taught to and please start properly researching your chosen subject or risk writing a rubbishy assignment... When you've got a more credible intro prepared let me know and I'll take a look.
