Minor Project - Hovering Vehicles

Podracers were small, one-man repulsorcraft, composed of an
anti-gravity pod propelled by one or more pairs of large turbine engines. The
engines were not physically connected to each other, being linked instead by
power couplings consisting of plasma discharges. The engines were connected to
the pods themselves by means of long, Steelton cables.
Podracing was a popular sport in the less-developed regions
of the galaxy and was one of the most dangerous sports ever invented. Racers
losing their lives during competitions was commonplace.
Turbine engines or anti gravity seems to be a good direction for a futuristic hover bike, I was thinking before the apocalypse a hover vehicle was a real luxury to have and only the rich had one. After the reset, all hover vehicles pretty much destroyed accept a few either by being rebuilt with different parts or kept safe underground.

Minor Project - Research Into Asteroid Hitting Earth
The game is set in a post-apocalyptic near future, following
the impact of the asteroid 99942 Apophis on Earth. The game has been described
as similar to the movie Mad Max 2 and to video games such as Fallout and
Borderlands.
In Rage's story, the asteroid 99942 Apophis impacts the
Earth on August 23, 2029, leaving few survivors. Human survivors have come
together to form settlements around oases and other practical or habitable
locations, including race tracks. These fragile homes are diligently defended
by the inhabitants against bandits and mutants, which are divided into various
gangs and organizations of their own.
Now I was looking at using the asteroid 99942 Apophis but it is to soon in date so I started to look into future possible asteroid hitting earth and found one called 1999 RQ36. The asteroid could hit earth in the year 2182 which is more around the time I want, but also has a chance to hit earth between now and 2200 giving me the choice of time in which hits earth.

The impact from the asteroid that created the famous Chicxulub crater in Mexico would have caused 'mega-tsunamis' many thousands of feet high.
It is believed that this asteroid led to the extinction of
the dinosaurs!

Minor Project - Possible Apocalypses
Now the only reason an apocalypse is in my motion comic story is to explain why the world is the way it is, it isn't the centre of the story in the slightness nothing more than a "reset" really.
The world is set in the future of 2174, so theres hovering vehicles, drones, futuristic weapons but once the reset happens it looks like 18th - 19th century but with technology still being around looking rusty'n'old or broken.
On the Mind map the words in small are just ones I've thought be seriously doubt having any part in the story whereas the ones quite large will most likely do.
I was thinking a killer flu outbreak happens and kills 89% only leaving the immune which over a certain amount of years rebuild the world to which it looks like a western.
Or a massive world war breaks out destroying most of the world before a deadly virus is released killing most the humans what are left, causing a restart in the world but still having certain technology.
Or simply a massive meteorite hits the planet causing most the wipe and the scenery needed to look like a massive western.
Or a massive world war is waging and the meteorite hits causing the same outcome as above but with countries against each other after the outcome.
Or a world war of humans versus robots, the humans win but at a great cost of the human population and the world itself.
Or the Ozone layer is destroyed by the sun causing the planet to become a desert wasteland, were technology still exist but humans are restarting in the damaged world.

Minor Project - Motion Comic Rough Script
The names used other than Pharrell, Mr. Charles and Lawrence are not final, just temps, also this is more about whats spoken and sceanary than camera postioning.
Motion Comic Research
So for the Minor project I have decided to go with my character design idea, for this I want to do a motion comic of the story I have planned. I have been looking at a few various motion comics for style and how the animated parts come across, out of these ones The Uncharted motion comic has the style I like the most with its dark but vibrant colour scheme. (I will soon post rough story and script of my motion comic idea)

Minor Project Potential Ideas
Idea One
Character Design
The First Idea would be some what related to my Year 2 Character design project. I would be taking the concept idea of a steampunk western world and one or two characters, replacing it with characters full of back story and motives in a world where there is money to be made. This Idea would be focused on the main character Lawrence Drake and his companions who roam the west breaking the law as they go but not without catching a lawful eye or two. they soon become intertwined with a far greater power when they pull of the biggest heist they could ever dreamed off.
This Idea could also be continued to the Major Project as an animation. The animation would be of the companions pulling the heist which starts of in small town but swiftly moves onto a train carrying the desires.
Idea Two - A Penguins Quest
Animation
There's this little penguin who travels with his trusty backpack when he finds a letter for Santa from a little girl and embarks on a quest to deliver it in time for Christmas.
Idea Three - Fat Runners
Animation
A group of Fat fighters get inspired to loose weight by videos of parkour on the internet, so they quit the gym and attempt to become free runners.
Idea Four
Game Idea - Character Design/ Environment
Set in Antarctica in a future world, a military based group of scientist find a giant whole, in which they explore to find something not from their world. The game would be a third person horror, with survival being the top priority.
